English, Janet Holt, EE.UU<\/em>.).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Maringwe, Sofala Provide (Mozambique), the location of the epicenter of problem that began a few weeks ago between the military and the RENAMO party, two Chilean volunteers have stayed, accompanied by local people, to give some hope and help wherever possible. They are Anita Mar\u00eda Alvarez and Diego Concha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By telephone, Anita Mar\u00eda says that she and Diego are well and that they are hopeful that things will get better. Even though it is a delicate situation, it has yet to become chaotic. Many people in the immediate and nearby area left their homes during the days of violence. Many have returned after spending days hiding in the bush, in order to care for their homes and get food. Little by little life is returning to normal, but there is still fear and uncertainty about a resurgence of violence. Anita tells us that last night there were no shots heard, in contrast to the nights before. The police chief visited their home to make sure they were calm and safe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anita and Diego are healthy and in good spirits. For now they have enough food and they are helping several elderly people who were literally abandoned by their families during the violence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The parish of Maringwe and Padre Roberto Guzm\u00e1n (diocesan), also Chilean, who has worked in the area since 2003 and who is currently in Chile, and is watching these worrying events in Mozambique closely, especially for his faithful community that finds itself in the middle of armed conflict again, after having been in years past the scene of very serious violence during the country\u2019s civil war. <b><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>We hope that wha<\/em><em>t has happened will find a solu<\/em><em>tion through dialogue between the two sides, the government (FRELIMO) and RENAME (the opposition party). Mozambique wants peace and not war. As a young Mozambican woman said, \u201cWe deserve peace.\u201d<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><b>P. Portugu\u00e9s, Joaquim Bambo, Italia<\/em>).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maringwe, Prov\u00edncia de Sofala (Mo\u00e7ambique), \u00e9 actuamente o epicentro do conflito amardo iniciado h\u00e1 algumas semanas entre as for\u00e7as militares do governo e membros do partido opositor da RENAMO. Nesse lugar encontram-se dois volunt\u00e1rios chilenos que desenvolvem v\u00e1rias actividades com as popula\u00e7\u00f5es locais e levando esperan\u00e7a at\u00e9 onde \u00e9 poss\u00edvel. Eles s\u00e3o: Anita Maria \u00c1lvarez e Diego Concha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Atrav\u00e9s de uma chamada telef\u00f3nica a voluntaria Anita Mar\u00eda garantiu que ela e o Diogo est\u00e3o bem e acreditam em dias melhores. Segundo ela, muitas pessoas abandonaram suas casas devido ao confronto armado dos dois ex\u00e9rcitos naquela zona. Contudo, algumas pessoas conseguem regressar para cuidar dos seus bens e procurar alimentos para subsist\u00eancia. Nestes \u00faltimos dias a situa\u00e7\u00e3o em Maringue tende a melhorar. J\u00e1 n\u00e3o se ouvem disparos. Todavia, ainda reina no seio da popula\u00e7\u00e3o muito medo e incerteza. Ela disse ainda que receberam uma visita do chefe da policia local que tranquilizou a todos e prometeu que a situa\u00e7\u00e3o iria melhorar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anita e Diego est\u00e3o bem de sa\u00fade e com \u00a0\u00e1nimo. Neste momento n\u00e3o t\u00eam problemas de alimentos e est\u00e3o dando assist\u00eancia na pr\u00f3pria resid\u00eancia a algumas pessoas idosas que foram abandonadas pelos seus familiares durante o confronto armado nos dias anteriores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O p\u00e1roco de Maringwe chama-se Roberto Guzm\u00e1n (diocesano), \u00e9 de nacionalidade chilena. Ele trabalha naquela localidade desde 2003. Neste momento, encontra-se no Chile. E desde o seu pa\u00eds observa e acompanha com preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o os acontecimentos de Mo\u00e7ambique, especialmente os crist\u00e3os da sua comunidade \u00a0que sofrem com esta crise politico militar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esperamos que estes acontecimentos se resolvam o mais cedo poss\u00edvel pelo di\u00e1logo das partes em conflito, respectivamente o governo da FRELIMO e o partido RENAMO.
